That's like a tree that fails to bear fruit, because it's planted away from water and the sun. However, those who delight in the Lord, and feed upon His Word, will thrive, just like the tree that is planted by water and exposed to the sun.

Can I Hear God's Voice Today? - Pastor Daniel Nelms

God does speak to us today, but we need to recognize His voice. We must know His character, as made clear in the Bible. Then we need to wait on Him, not just talking all the time.
