As we walk with the Lord, it's important to keep focused on God's call on our life. In this passage, we see how the disciples and others allowed emotions and distractions to shift their focus from the purposes of God. Jesus never lost focus on his future, despite the cost.

Pastor Ryan Diffenderfer- Genesis 37-50- The life of Joseph teaches us that God is faithful to keep His promises. Jospeh did what was right regardless the circumstances of his life, and God used Joseph's obedience to be a blessing to others. "What man intended for evil, God intended for good." Even though we may not always see it or feel it, God is at work in all seasons of our lives.

As we study the account of Jesus ministering to the adulteress brought to Him in the Temple court, we are reminded of God's grace. Jesus didn't come to follow a religion, but to share love and life to sinners. To receive eternal life, we need simply to receive the pardon bought by His blood.

After His baptism, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. He tempted Jesus in the same 3 areas as he did with Adam & Eve: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. They failed, but Jesus prevailed

The baptism of Jesus was the inauguration into His Messianic ministry. He could save us because He lived a perfect life, but He got baptized to identify with those He came to save. The Father and the Spirit then

bore witness that Jesus was the Son of God.
