Having proved his resurrection, he takes time for final interaction with his disciples. The resurrected Jesus is still in the business of encountering people every day.

After the resurrection of Jesus, the disciples still gathered in a locked room out of fear, until Jesus appeared and showed them his wounds. Thomas was not present then, and also expressed doubt when they told him about it. Jesus appeared again and made a point to address Thomas, showing him as well. Despite our questions and doubts, Jesus will make himself known to us.

In this parable, Jesus addresses a field that is filled with good wheat seed, but becomes infiltrated with "fake wheat". It may look the same, but is damaging to those who partake. It is separated at the harvest time. So also, Satan can bring his evil influence into the Church, but when God harvests, the good wheat ends up in Heaven, while the "fake wheat", in Hell.
