God created the Earth for His own pleasure. Work and pleasure in the Garden of Eden brought fulfillment because God was in it. As the author of Ecclesiastes reflects on the vanity of life and our pleasure-soaked world, he realizes that exists because eternal longings don't come without God. Instead of unrest and despair, we can have lasting fulfillment and joy. Toil, pleasure, wisdom, and even death, take on new meaning when we allow God to work in us.
